Aka Kuro Shiro

Art Direction · Photography

Aka Kuro Shiro is an experimental photographic project created by Lívia Cunha. Developed around three recurring themes in artistic expression—color, paint, and the gaze—the series investigates the relationship between body, material, and perception. The photoshoot was carefully planned and executed in three distinct stages, applying paint directly to the model's face while exploring three visual conditions: direct eye contact (white), closed eyes (black), and colored lenses (red). The resulting photographic sequence transforms flowing paint into an organic, living artwork captured through photography.
